Skinner State Park

My kids first went to Skinner Mountain with a friend and they loved it. If your kids love the outdoors, they'll love "hiking" up Skinner Mountain.

You can drive part-way up or walk from the base of the mountain. There are 20 picnic sites along the way.

At the top of the mountain is The Summit House. While the kids may not find it very interesting, the views are beautiful. They may even be interested to learn how early travelers made their way to the top. So bring a picnic lunch or a few snacks, bottled water, and a camera and you're ready to go.
